My 13-year-old is a techie and she is also a fan of Samsung phones, especially the Galaxy Active line.

That´s why when ATT offered for us to review the Active S8 for a couple of weeks, we said yes!

She had owned an S6 before using this newer version, and she enjoyed the upgrades.

The camera capabilities are outstanding, especially when compared with an IPhone, which is what I use.

She enjoyed taking close-ups, selfies and also some photos we had to take for a sponsored post. In that sense, we´re both on the same page! We took some photos in low light and they came out great!

The front camera has 8 megapixels which is pretty good, while the rear one is even better at 12 megapixels.

She also enjoyed that is was water-resistant and that the screen is shatter-resistant. She confessed to dropping it a few times and it held up!

The metal frame keeps the phone safe. She didn´t have to be concerned about having a phone case.

Even when these are not bulky, they always add to the size and weight of the phone.

My daughter was very excited about the backdrops she could use – there are many themes to choose from, and there are also different ways to customize app and widget layouts.

She loved that the weather is front and center, along with the date and time.

She explained how there is a home button that allows you to exit all apps at once, instead of having to exit them individually (like on the Iphone, where you have to swipe each one to completely close it).

Samsung has come up with Bixby, which in her words is like “Samsung´s Siri.” But it also does many other things.

It´s an intelligent interface that learns from your behavior with the phone and adapts to your user habits.

It also has Activity Zone on the Hello Bixby home screen to give you quick access to certain tools, like the flashlight, compass and others.

If you or one of your kids are android fans and have an active lifestyle, the Samsung Galaxy Active S8 may be the phone for you!

My daughter gave it two thumbs up, just because she doesn´t have three thumbs!
